CPR/First Aid Class

8:30am — 12:30pm
Instructors are certified through the American Heart Association CPR and First Aid certification are valid for 2 years. Participants MUST be pre-registered.Walk ins cannot be accepted! Onsite classes are available and can be scheduled for your convenience at your center! Many other sessions will be scheduled, so call if you need another date or check our website for upcoming sessions. Call us if you’d like us to come to your center to conduct a class for your staff! F-5b Family Child Care Orientation

Time: 
8:30am — 12:30pm
Even if you’ve been a family child care home provider for many years this session is required. The session is full of updated information and the latest techniques to help you do the best job that you can. You’ll get tips on record keeping, guiding children’s behavior, working with families, and more! This course meets the 4-hour orientation requirement for family child care registration. Providers are only required to take this class one time, not annually. However, after 2 years, you may take it for regular clock-hour training. E-7b Overview of Social Emotional Screening in the Child Care Setting

This training will help centers plan to implement social-emotional developmental screening as required in the QRS model to earn points in Program and Staff Qualifications. In addition, the training will provide an overview of the recommended screening tools, how to explain to parents the meaning of the results, and how to make referrals.
