Nancy P. Alexander

Nancy P. Alexander is director of the NSU Child and Family Network. She has a BS from Centenary College and a M.Ed. from Northwestern State University. She is author of numerous articles in professional publications and of the book Early Childhood Workshops that Work: The Essential Guide to Training and Workshops. Nancy taught early childhood college courses as adjunct faculty for eight years and now teaches early childhood college courses online. She is a frequent presenter at national and regional conferences. She is a past president of the Louisiana Early Childhood Association and a past board member of the Southern Early Childhood Association.

Diane S. Aillet

Diane Aillet is Coordinator for Louisiana Pathways Career Development System. She is working on a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education and has extensive experience in working with staff as a former director of an early childhood program. She was instrumental in implementing the Louisiana Pathways Career Development System. She attends and presents at state, regional and national conferences.

Jeanette Anderson

Jeanette Anderson is a Technical Assistant, and works with Family Child Care Home providers. Jeanette was previously associated with Highland Child Development Center, where she earned her Child Development Associate in 2004. With 26 years of continuing education in childcare development, Jeanette is excited about the opportunity to provide quality child development education for home care providers.

Judy Bryant

Judy Bryant has over 20 years in the childcare field. She is a CDA Advisor and works with those wishing to acquire their Child Development Associate degree.

Kim Carleton

Kimberly Carleton has been employed with NSU Child & Family Network for the past four years. Her duties include training and technical assistance. She mainly works with family child care providers.

Renee Collins

Renee Collins has an Associate of Science in Computer Information Systems from Bossier Parish Community College. She is the Assistant Database Coordinator for Louisiana Pathways Child Care Career Development Center. She helps with Career Development by promoting education to child care workers in Louisiana. She also helps with database management and data entry.

Jenny Cowan

Jenny Cowan is the Scholarship Coordinator for the Louisiana Pathways Child Care Career Development Sysem. Jenny has a Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Northeast Louisiana University. As Scholarship Coordinator, Jenny looks forward to assisting child care professionals obtain the training necessary in order to provide children in Louisiana with quality care.

Kim Duncan

Kim Duncan has over 14 years of child care experience both in the classroom and in an administrative roll. She is the former Daycare Director for Summer Grove Baptist Church Early Childhood Enrichment Center. Under her direction, the program began from the ground up and rapidly grew to over 100 students. This experience gives her insight into the challenges early childhood program directors face on a daily basis. As Training Coordinator, she looks forward to working with childcare providers to accomplish their individual training needs.

Margaret Febus

Margaret is a Child Care Center Technical Assistant and Child Care Trainer. She has a Bachelors Degree in Human Development with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from Washington State University. Margaret has a background of developing and implementing programs, several of which were child care centers and youth programs. She has 10 years experience working as a Director of Early Learning Centers. Margaret teaches CDA classes, presents workshops and visits centers to offer technical assistance.

Margaret Goodwin

Margaret is a Child Care Trainer and Resource and Referral Specialist. She has a Bachelors Degree in Education with certification in kindergarten and nursery school from Louisiana Tech. and 10 years of experience in teaching Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten. Margaret teaches CDA classes, presents workshops, and refers parents to child care providers based on their needs.

Leslie Sinclair

Leslie Sinclair is the Child Care Specialist and Trainer in our Alexandria office at the Rapides Learning Center. She has bachelor's degrees from Salisbury College in Maryland and a master's degree in Early Childhood Education from the College of Charleston in South Carolina. She has worked with children in many different settings including public and church school, camps and scouts. She teaches CDA classes and always adds her creativity to make training enjoyable as well as informative.

Lynne Stamper

Lynne Stamper is Administrative Assistant to the Director. With over thirty years of administrative and clerical experience, she handles Electronic Workshops as well as provides additional support for office staff.

Shelia Sullivan

Shelia is the Database Coordinator for the Louisiana Pathways Child Care Career Development System. Shelia has an Associates Degree in Business Computer Programming from Southern Tech. She maintains the database, identifies and solves technical and software problems, and trains employees to use computer applications.

Paula Youngblood

Paula Youngblood has an extensive background in the childcare industry. She taught a career college course in "Child Development: Policy and Procedure" at Career Institute. She was formerly Co-owner and Assistant Director of Martha's Learn and Play in Bossier City. After Martha's was sold, she became Director of Doctor's Hospital Daycare Center of Shreveport. Paula is a Technical Assistant, presents at workshops and refers parents to childcare providers based on their needs.

Contracted Trainers

Contracted trainers facilitate some of the workshops and other types of training. The practice of using contracted trainers to supplement our full-time staff benefits child care employees by offering training by persons currently working in other early childhood programs and related fields. In addition, some of these trainers have special expertise in the fields of counseling, family relations, child abuse prevention, health and safety, nutrition, children with special needs, and more. The practice also benefits trainees by offering variety in presenters to maintain their interest and excitement in continuing training. Listed below are our contracted trainers and their experience. Dr. Allie Allen

Dr. Allie Allen is a minister of the Greater New Life Christian Church. She is a retired supervisor from California schools and received her degree from ? in 19??. She is the author of a book, (title) and conducts workshops on parenting, self-esteem, and child development for us in Shreveport.

Debra Jo works at the Head Start program operated by the Natchitoches Parish Head Start program on the NSU main campus. The program is one of only a few Head Start programs operating on a college campus in the nation. She is an experienced presenter, but is new with us this year. She conducts workshops.

Gloria Holland

Gloria Holland holds a BS degree in Child Development from Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA and a Master's degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University of South Bend, IN. She has taught both in the States and in Germany, and has 33 years of exerience in Early Childhood education. Gloria specializes in music workshops and CDA training, and teaches CDA classes in Leesville at the NSU satallite campus.

Mary Humphries

Mary is the owner of Foundation for Early Learning, LLC, a hands-on childcare training and consulting business. She is former owner of Early Years Child Development Center in Monroe with 33 years of experience in child care. Mary has a CDA in Infant/Toddler and Preschool and a National Administrator Credential. She teaches CDA classes, is a CDA Advisor, presenter at state conferences, contract trainer and technical assistant specialist and consultant. She is a board member of the Child Care Association of Louisiana and a board member of Twin Cities Early Head Start. Mary uses resourceful and hands-on activities making training pleasurable and informative.

Dr. Janie Humphries

Dr. Humphries is Distinguished Professor at Louisiana Tech University, where she teaches early childhood education courses. She is conducting some special projects in Monroe and Shreveport this year. Dr. Humphries is a past president of the Louisiana Early Childhood Association and a past board member of the Southern Early Childhood Association. She is a frequent presenter at state, regional, and national conferences.

Angelia Malloy

Dr. Minniear is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Shreveport. He conducts workshops focusing on self-esteem, parenting, and social development. Dr. Minniear received his degree from Northeast Louisiana University (now University of Louisiana - Monroe).
